Things abusers say to keep children silent

Today I’m sharing with you five things that my father, the abuser, would say which would scare me so much that I didn’t tell anyone for years and years.

It has been a surprisingly difficult video for me to make, but I think it’s important for everyone to understand why children don’t tell us. For this, and for prevention in general, we need to look at more than symptoms and risk factors.. we need to delve into the dynamic that the abuser creates with the child.
