Three difficult reasons why I used to blame myself

In my first self-made video ever, I’m going to talk about three tough realities of child sexual abuse for some survivors. These all apply to me, so I wanted to share them for those of you who may relate and perhaps felt that you were alone. My hope for these videos and this site is that we come to understand, through raising awareness and speaking out, just how much we have in common in our experiences, so that we can reduce the sense of isolation that many former abuse victims feel.

I want to slap a big TRIGGER WARNING on today’s video, as it covers some pretty heavy stuff, and is also there to give non-survivors, or people who work with/care for survivors, an insight into the vast complexity of this issue.

… Phew! It took a lot for me to finally get on YouTube, so I’m looking forward to growing my channel and hopefully connecting with lots of other survivors and people who work with survivors. 🙂
